Mr. H

I was born with a congenital disorder and underwent a kidney transplant last year in Delhi, with my mother as the donor. As a government employee, I already had a CMHIS card when the government introduced the scheme. My father, also a government employee and a CMHIS beneficiary, had my mother listed as his dependent. This meant that neither my mother nor I had any out-of-pocket expenses for the transplant. Before CMHIS, we had no other insurance, so we had to bear all medical expenses ourselves. When CMHIS was launched, we initially faced technical issues that prevented us from using the card, but these were resolved within a few days. Overall, the CMHIS scheme has been incredibly beneficial for my family and me. It has alleviated our financial burden significantly, allowing us to focus on recovery rather than costs. Based on our positive experience, we always advocate for this scheme whenever we get the chance. It has truly been fruitful for us, and we have no criticisms regarding the scheme.

The Chief Minister Health Insurance Scheme (CMHIS) is a public health insurance scheme implemented by the Government of Nagaland to offer cashless treatment to eligible citizens of Nagaland.
